Security Start - Main Menu

The TT Club is the world's leading specialist insurer of the international transport and logistics industry, and as such, is extremely sensitive to the security needs and concerns of its Members and the industry at large. These web pages were developed specifically to provide assistance in obtaining security related information and services.

The Club has participated in a large number of international developments relating to security and has provided advice both to specific Members and generally through its electronic newsletter, TT Talk.

The rush to develop and implement various security regulations by both international organizations, such as the IMO, ILO and WCO, as well as individual national trading partners, presents a substantial challenge to the industry to keep abreast of all emerging requirements.

The TT Club has, under the SecurityStart brand, made available a security assessment programme in three stages:

Stage 1 – A database holding information and explanations of current security-related legislation and initiatives (see Regulatory Information and Security Updates).

Stage 2 – An interactive web-based gap analysis tool to provide a preliminary analysis of an operator’s security situation with reference to ISPS regulations (see Security Startup Tool).

Stage 3 – The TT Club has joined forces with a leading independent consultancy service to conduct vulnerability assessments and produce security plans for operators in accordance with the ISPS code for approval by government authorities. The programme will also secure CTPAT compliance alongside the security plan.

Security Startup Tool
This web based tool is an interactive "self-diagnostic" application that provides a preliminary security needs analysis based on international security regulations. Answers provided to the on-line questionaire are reviewed by a premier maritime security services company and a detailed report is provided directly to the Member.>

Regulatory Information and Security Updates
This is a comprehensive database of virtually all international security related regulations and initiatives of concern to the transport and logistics industry engaged in any aspect of international trade.
